FAQ DSC

Why should I use DSC?

DSC manages DART extracts and ensures that all sessions are correctly finished and the extract files readable.

The first advantage is that the fiscal extract process is coherent, the second is that the DART expert in charge of extracts has a lightened work load.

Finally, the link with ASC (Archiving Sessions Cockpit) ensures that the archiving processes do not affect the fiscal extract processes.

Do auditors and tax experts accept DSC?

DSC doesn’t replace DART, it automates it. If the auditors and tax experts accept DART then they also accept DSC.
The fact that DSC automates all fiscal extract processes with full documentation and transparency of each step will help with DART acceptance.

How is it installed?

By SAP add-on.

How long does the installation take?

Less than 1 hour. The customizing and tests are generally finished within 1 day.

Is there a user guide?

Yes, the product is delivered with a user guide in French, English and German.

Will DSC still be supported in the future?

DSC is developed in ABAP, and delivered as a SAP add-on with visible source code.

Why is DSC better than an external scheduling tool?

Since version 2.6 of DART it is possible to manage DART extracts using the SAP scheduler.

To do this it is necessary to manually modify or select variants, each DART extract thus needs user intervention which potentially leads to a source of errors.

DSC creates the DART variants automatically, manages all extracts and provides full logs of all actions.

DSC integration with third party products.

DSC can be used with any document storage system, so long as they are SAP ArchiveLink certified.

DART files can be stored in a certified content server or on a file system depending on your system architecture.

DSC is integrated with TJC ASC (Archive Sessions Cockpit). When both products are used, archiving sessions for specific companies and areas are only started after all relevant DART sessions are completed.
